1. The Anne Ford Scholarship
This is one of the Scholarships for people with ADHD that is worth $10,000 ($2,500/year over four years) and it’s granted to a graduating high school senior who will be enrolled in a full-time bachelor’s degree program in the fall. Applicants must have a documented learning disability (LD) and/or ADHD.
2. Reveley Scholarship Program
This is another Scholarship for ADHD students provided by the University of Idaho. The Reveley Scholarship Program is not only for students with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), it’s also for students with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD).
The scholarship encourages their commitment and extraordinary effort toward pursuing educational goals.
3. AAHD Scholarship Program
American Association on Health and Disability (AAHD) was established to contribute to national, state, and local efforts to promote health and wellness in people with disabilities. They also seek to find out the best intervention strategies that reduce health disparities between people with disabilities and the general population.
And, they are achieving their goal through intensive research, education, and advocacy at the national, state, and community level. And, they also provide an annual scholarship to students that intend to major in programs like public health, disability studies, health promotion, or a field related to disability and health.
The scholarship is available for both undergraduate and graduate students, and the award is worth approximately $1,000 the number of scholarships awarded is determined by the committee.
4. Theodore R. Vivian M. Johnson Scholarship
This is one of the Scholarships for people with ADHD that is funded by the Johnson Scholarship Foundation, which is an award program that is very competitive. This scholarship is available for undergraduate students with disabilities enrolled in a State University System of Florida (SUS) institution.
You also need to be a Florida resident and demonstrate financial need to be eligible for this scholarship. All the awardees of this scholarship are recognized at the annual DRC Scholarship Ceremony in September.
5. DRC Disability Evaluation: Squitieri Scholarship Fund
The Christopher M. Squiteri scholarship is basically for students who have a financial need and are seeking an evaluation to determine if they have a learning disability and/or ADHD. If the application is approved, the student will receive a psycho-educational, free of charge, from a community provider.
6. NBCUniversal Tony Coelho Media Scholarship
This scholarship is provided by NBCUniversal, one of the world’s largest motion picture producers and distributors, through the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD). There are eight (8) available scholarships to be used in the fall semester for incoming and undergraduate students and graduate students with disabilities.
This scholarship is for students pursuing careers in media, communications, or entertainment industries at any accredited University or College in the United States. Each awardee will receive $5,625 to help cover the cost of education at their college or university.
7. Buckley Moss Foundation
The Buckley Moss Foundation awards $1,000 worth of scholarships to high school seniors or first-year students with ADHD. If the applicant also has some other learning disabilities like dyslexia and dysgraphia, they have a higher chance of winning the scholarship.
An essay is needed for this scholarship.
8. Melvin and Sally Mooty Scholarship
This is one of the scholarships for people with ADHD that is provided by Courage Kenny and the funds are made available through the private donation of Melvin and Sally Mooty. This scholarship is worth approximately $2,500 and they are meant to fund tuition fees, books, and classroom materials.
To be eligible for this scholarship you need to be;
- A U.S. Citizen
- Minnesota resident
- High school diploma or GED
- Enrolled as an undergraduate student or in a technical college
- Attend an accredited institution
- Demonstrated financial need
- Maintain satisfactory academic progress
- Create a “Statement of Intention” essay
- Provide periodic progress updates
- A personal interview is required of all finalists
9. Mays Mission Scholarships
This is one of the ADHD student scholarships offered by the Mays Mission. The scholarship is eligible for students that have documented a significant disability, score of 20 or better on the A.C.T or 970 on S.A.T., be enrolled in a four-year study program (undergraduate only) working toward a baccalaureate degree, and provide proof of enrollment.
10. INCIGHT Scholarship
INCIGHT has awarded over 940 scholarships since it was established in 2004, and eligible candidates have to be enrolled in Community colleges, Universities, Vocational Schools, or Graduate Programs. The scholarship is worth $500, and it’s awarded to several candidates.
To be eligible you need to;
- Be a current Washington, Oregon or California resident.
- You must have a disability
- You must be attending higher education during the funding cycle following your application
- You must be enrolled and provide enrollment verification to INCIGHT
11. Fred J. Epstein Youth Achievement Award
This is one of the Scholarships for people with ADHD provided by smart kids with learning disabilities and they recognize students from all over the country who have achieved great success despite or because of their learning challenges.
12. Microsoft Disability Scholarship
This scholarship is for high school seniors that intend to attend vocational or academic college and focus on technology industry careers.
Another interesting thing about this scholarship is that it’s renewable. That means if the awardees continue to meet the criteria, they are eligible to receive an annual award of $5,000 for up to four (4) consecutive years for a potential total of $20,000 scholarship.
13. TAPDINTO-STEM
The Alliance for Students with Disabilities for Inclusion, Networking, and Transition Opportunities in STEM is collaborating with NSF to provide this scholarship. Their aim is to improve the number of students with disabilities receiving associate, baccalaureate, and graduate degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
This scholarship comes with a lot of opportunities, which include;
- Peer and faculty mentoring
- Access to internships
- Research conferences
- Graduate school preparation and fairs, and guest speaker presentations
- A $1000 stipend per academic year, with multiple years of funding possible.
14. Shire ADHD Scholarship
This is one of the Scholarships for students with ADHD that funds $2,000 to recipients. It’s also another scholarship exclusively for students in the United States, that has been accepted to or will be enrolled in a 2- or 4-year Undergraduate Program or a Graduate Program (of one or more years in length) at an accredited college, or university, trade school, technical school, or vocational school located in the US.
15. Baer Reintegration Scholarship
The Baer Reintegration Scholarship covers a part or all of an education ranging from G.E.D. to Ph.D. It’s also eligible for U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents who plan to attend a school in the United States.
