1. EAA Flight Training Scholarships
A lot of people come together to sponsor these scholarships which have given EAA the privilege to always award more than $1 million in aviation scholarships every year. The good thing is all applications will be reviewed, then those that meet the criteria and shows great potential to be actively engaged in Aviation will be awarded the scholarship.

2. American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Scholarships
The AIAA (American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics) foundation provides lots of undergraduate scholarships and graduate awards to financially help students in Science or Engineering programs. And, they have rendered this help to more than 1,300 students from more than 150 colleges worldwide for the past 20 years.
You need to be an AIAA Student Member to apply, and you can apply for up to 3 (three) undergraduate scholarships or graduate awards.
3. Emirates Aviation University Scholarship for International Students
Emirates Aviation University provides two kinds of scholarships for both their domestic students and international students which are;
- Chancellor’s Scholarship: Even though this scholarship is only awarded in the first (Fall) semester each year to newly admitted students, it covers the awardees’ full tuition. This makes it very competitive, and only 10 people receive the scholarship.
- Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship: This is also competitive, but not like the first one, 100 students are awarded the VC’s Scholarship, but it covers up to 50% of your tuition fees.
4. Aviation Distributors and Manufacturers Association (ADMA) Scholarship
This is among the pilot training scholarships for abroad students pursuing careers in the aviation industry. Applicants need to have completed two (2) consecutive semesters in a four-year program at an accredited post-secondary institution, majoring in Aviation Management or a Professional Pilot Program OR a first-year student in an Aviation and Piloting Program at a two-year accredited institution.
5. Richard L. Taylor Flight Training Scholarship
This is one of the aviation scholarships for international students provided by the National Air Transportation Foundation’s (NATF) scholarship program. You need to be enrolled in a flight program through the college/university with aspirations to become a professional pilot for you to be able to apply.
6. Pioneers of Flight Scholarship
This is one of the oldest pilot training scholarships for international students provided by The National Air Transportation Foundation (NATF) which was founded in 1989. Applicants need to be full-time students in their sophomore or junior year who are enrolled in an aviation degree program at an accredited four-year college or university.
7. NBAA (National Business Aviation Association) Scholarships
NBAA provides charity scholarships, and this wouldn’t have been possible without the generous contribution from NBAA member donors, who provide up to $100,000 annually. Their scholarships include;

- AMT Maintenance Scholarships
- Hank Hilsmann Memorial Scholarship
- International Operators Scholarship
- UAA Janice K. Barden Aviation Scholarship
8. Latino Pilots Association Scholarships
The Latino Pilots Association is partnering with both aviation-related organizations and non-aviation-related companies to provide scholarships to different kinds of students from different countries, ethnicity, and demography. And, applicants need to be accepted or currently attending a flight training program.
The good news is that, even if you didn’t win their scholarship this year, they still allow you to re-apply next year or other years (as long as you’re still a student).
9. Women in Aviation International Scholarships
Though these scholarships are mostly for women, men that meet the scholarship application criteria are also allowed to apply. They also allow you to apply for up to three (3) scholarships.
So far, WAI has awarded a total of $15.4 million in awards since 1995.
Conclusion
You can see that these pilot training scholarships for international students give you the opportunity to pay part or nothing for tuition, but, it’s still better to have a very good grade and probably have participated in extracurricular activities.
