1. The Ministry of Education Huayu Enrichment Scholarship (MOE HES)
The Taiwan Ministry of Education established the Huayu Enrichment Scholarship to encourage every foreign student who wish to study Mandarin in Taiwan. To be eligible, you must be 18 years or older, completed high school and earned your diploma, be in good academic standing and moral character, not a citizen of Taiwan, be neither currently enrolled in a Mandarin training center nor a full-time degree program at any institution in Taiwan and not be an exchange student.
The scholarship offers a monthly stipend of NT$25,000 for a d 12 months.
2. UBC Chinese Language Program Scholarships
The University of British Columbia (UBC) located in Canada has a Chinese Language program open to national and international students who wish to study Chinese language. 3. Central South University International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship
Central South University, China welcomes outstanding students and currently employed Chinese language teachers to study the Chinese language. However, they have to be recommended by Confucius Institutes, classrooms, certain HSK test centers, Chinese language (education) departments of foreign universities, professional associations for Chinese language instruction of other countries, and Chinese embassies (consulates) abroad to be accepted into the program.
Scholarships are offered to eligible students for a maximum of 11 months. Applicants are required to get a minimum score of 210 in HSK 3. Priority is given to those who have an HSKK test score. The scholarship provides full coverage on tuition fees, accommodation, medical insurance, and living allowance. To be eligible, you must be a non-Chinese citizen, be in good physical and mental condition, have good academic performance and behavior, and be between the ages of 16 and 35 but if you are currently working as a Chinese language teacher, you should not be more than 45 years old.
Documents required to apply for the scholarship include ta ranscript of the highest diploma translated into Chinese or English, a reference letter from the institution that recommended you, scaa nned copy of your sports photo, scaa nned copy of your score reports of the HSK, and HSKK tests, photocopy of foreigner physical check, non-criminal record with an official stamp, and certificate of scholarship for International Chinese Language Teachers.
4. Manchester University International Chinese Language Teachers (Confucius Institute) Scholarship Programme
At Manchester University, you may be eligible for the International Chinese Language Teachers if you enroll for the Chinese Language program. The scholarship will provide financial assistance to eligible students, scholars, and Chinese language teachers to study at a Chinese university for a limited period. The scholarship is offered annually and it is for current students at the University of Manchester.
The scholarship covers tuition fees, and housing, provides monthly allowance, and comprehensive insurance for foreign students studying in China. To be eligible, you must be non-Chinese aged from 16 to 35 years old in good health, submit your HSK result, and hold a high school diploma or above.
5. International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship at the University of Melbourne

7. Texas Tech University CMLL Study Abroad Scholarship

The department offers this scholarship to provide financial support to its students who want to travel abroad to gain proficiency in a language.
You must be a student of the Department of Classical & Modern Languages & Literature to qualify to apply. To be eligible, you must have a minimum of 2.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to CMLL majors/minors.
8. Freeman Awards for Study in Asia (Freeman-ASIA)
This award is offered to undergraduate students who are citizens and permanent residents of the US and demonstrate financial need to study in East or Southeast Asia. You can apply for this scholarship to study the Chinese language in any of these locations.
You must apply for the Freeman-ASIA in the academic term before your study abroad program begins. The award covers tuition, airfare, cost of living, books, and local transportation.
