1.     NYP Industry Scholarship

The NYP Industry Scholarship is for students in year two from various disciplines. The scholarship recognizes year 2 students who have a passion and talent for their choice of course in their specific discipline. The scholarship value is S$3,000 and is tenable for up to two years of study in NYP.

To be eligible, you must be a citizen or permanent resident of Singapore, have a minimum CGPA of 3.8 at the end of the second semester in year one, have a good CCA (co-curricular) record, good conduct, strong passion for your course, and not in receipt of any scholarships or sponsorships.

The scholarship is tenable for two years which means after the first year it has to be renewed. Now, there are conditions for the renewal which are; excellent academic results, good discipline and exemplary character, and participating in the leadership development programme.

2.     NYP Scholarship (ITE Pathway)

This Nanyang Poly scholarship is offered to ITE students pursuing full-time diploma courses in NYP with excellent performance. The recipient of the scholarship will receive a S$3,000 education allowance tenable for up to 3 years of study in NYP but it has to renew each year of the award to be renewed each year, you must have excellent academic results, be in good discipline and exemplary character, and participate in the leadership development programme.

The eligibility criteria for the NYP Scholarship (ITE Pathway) are:

  • You must be a citizen or permanent resident of Singapore
  • Grade point average (GPA) of ≥3.9 in the NITEC programme OR GPA of ≥3.8 in the Higher NITEC programme

This Nanyang Polytechnic scholarship is for year two students who are enrolled in full-time diploma courses. You must be a permanent resident or citizen of Singapore to be eligible for this scholarship and you must have a minimum CGPA of 3.8 at the end of the second semester in year one. Now, the NYP Scholarship (‘O’ Level Pathway), is for top-performing GCE ‘O’ Level students pursuing full-time diploma courses in NYP.  To be eligible for the award, you have to meet the following criteria:

5.     NYP Scholarship (Polytechnic Foundation Programme Pathway)

This Nanyang Polytechnic scholarship is for top-performing GCE N(A) Level students pursuing the Polytechnic Foundation Programme (PFP). The scholarship is tenable for up to 1 year of study and the award is an annual education allowance of the amount equivalent to the tuition fees payable by Singapore citizens (after the tuition grant).

7.     Choo-Lim Scholarship

Choo-Lim Scholarship is one of the Nanyang Polytechnic scholarships aimed at encouraging, supporting, and recognizing ASEAN students from the School of Engineering or the School of Health & Social Sciences. The scholarship is for one year and offers $2,500 with no bond obligation.

To be eligible, you must:

  • Be a Singapore of ASEAN citizen

8.     Daisy Phay-NYP Foundation Scholarship

Top performing GCE ‘O’ Level students who are passionate about community service and are enrolled in a full-time diploma course in NYP are eligible to apply for the Daisy Phay-NYP Foundation Scholarship. Other eligibility criteria are:

  • You must be a citizen or permanent resident of Singapore
  • Net score of ≤10 points (ELR2B2) in the GCE ‘O’ Level
  • Good CCA record
  • Good conduct
  • Strong passion for your course
  • Strong passion for community service
  • Not in receipt of any other scholarships or sponsorships

9.     Lian Tiam Seng Scholarship

This is for students in year two or three in the School of Applied Science or the School of Engineering at NYP. The scholarship award is an annual allowance of $2,500 for one year with no bond obligation and the recipients must perform community service for the local farming industry (working on research/projects related to the agri-tech sector for not less than 25 hours, to be completed within 1 year from the award of the scholarship).

To be eligible, you must be a Singapore citizen, have good conduct, be in year two or three, have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 or higher, and not be in receipt of any other scholarships or sponsorships. Eligible students will be invited to apply in the second semester each year then only shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews.

10.  Mustard Seed Foundation Scholarship

Mustard Seed Foundation focuses its attention on the advancement of women in society. This scholarship is aimed at supporting women to pursue careers in business, management, and finance. To be eligible, you must meet the following requirements:

  • You must be a citizen or permanent resident of Singapore
  • Year 2 full-time diploma female students from the School of Business Management (Diploma in Banking & Finance preferred)
  • Cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of ≥3.5
  • Good conduct
  • Not in receipt of any other scholarships or sponsorships

The Center for Strategic Infocomm Technologies (CSIT) partners with Nanyang Polytechnic to offer scholarships to top-performing GCE ‘O’ Level students (‘O’ Level Pathway) and Year 2 students (Mid-Term) who are enrolled in any of the following programs at the School of Information Technology and School of Engineering at Nanyang Polytechnic:
