The Korean War is amongst the list of the most prominent wars that were fought.

It was fought between North Korea and South Korea from 1950 to 1953. The war began on 25 June 1950 when North Korea invaded South Korea. North Korea aimed to militarily conquer South Korea and therefore unify Korea under the communist North Korean regime. The war ceased with an armistice on 27 July 1953. North Korea was supported by China and the Soviet Union while South Korea was supported by the United States and the United Nations (UN).

Apart from this scholarship, other scholarships are available too especially for other people who in the case of the work they do risk their lives in the process. There are scholarships for children of police officers because, in the process of catching criminals or investigating a case, they can lose their lives.  There are also scholarships for children of first responders because these first responders find their way to safety during emergencies or accidents like fire outbreaks, they enter the scene to salvage the situation.

Statistics show that they are not lucky enough to come out with their lives all the time as some sustain an injury or even get burnt in the process of helping others.  You can even find scholarships available for the first responders themselves.  Also, firefighters are not left behind, as there are scholarships for firefighters too, and their children.
