12 Best Undergraduate Nursing Scholarships

If you are applying for an associate or bachelor of science nursing program you may qualify for undergraduate nursing scholarships if you meet the requirements. There is no need for you to look for the scholarships as I had already curated them here.

If you are considering pursuing a career in nursing then you are about to make a wise choice and I am encouraging you to go along with it. Since you are considering nursing, I assume you must have done proper research concerning the profession and gotten information like the duties/responsibilities of a nurse, the salary of nurses in your location, how long it takes to become a nurse, the cost of nursing school, and the rest.

If you do not know any of these at this point, well, get to it but first, read up on this article.

There is a worldwide shortage of nurses which makes them in high demand so if you do decide to become a nurse and follow it up, you too will become a sought-after professional. And if you must know, people in such professions do not lack opportunities and are well compensated. Nurses are needed in almost every healthcare setting and in every community, you will find, at least, one health center with a nurse.

So, getting a job as a nurse shouldn’t be a bother to you what should actually be bothering you is how to afford nursing school because it is expensive. The cost of nursing school is not even solving the issue of the global shortage of nurses but there are measures that are put in place to help with the cost of nursing school.

These measures are financial aid opportunities like scholarships, grants, bursaries, and other ways to get free money for nursing school. These financial assistance opportunities are funded by state and federal governments, colleges and universities, businesses, and various healthcare and nursing associations, organizations, and societies like the National Black Nurses Association (NBNA).

There are also nursing scholarships for minorities designed to increase the number of ethnic minority groups in the nursing profession. There are also nursing grants from governments of different countries and states to increase the number of nurses in their countries and states by providing them with financial assistance which they do not have to repay.

Look, there are so many of these financial aids for nurses, they have different criteria and come from different sources but they are all directed towards the same goal which is bringing more people into the nursing profession by eradicating financial barriers that may pose a challenge.

The undergraduate nursing scholarships curated here are also a part of this goal. For those who are pursuing an undergraduate nursing program like an Associate of Nursing Degree (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), you qualify to apply for the scholarships curated here. But review their requirements carefully and apply for the ones whose criteria you can satisfy.
