15 Computer Science Scholarships for Women

A computer science degree is so promising that it is one of the most studied programmes in the world. And these students pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s Degrees in Computer Science or IT are sought after, after their graduation.

For instance, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that there were 33,500 jobs for these professionals, also there will be 21% (Much faster than average) growth from 2021-2031.

However, and unfortunately, there are very few women pursuing Computer Science or Engineering degrees. The National Center for Science and Engineering Statistics (NCSES) reported that only 20% of computer science and 22% of Engineering women students in the U.S. pursue bachelor’s degrees.

It’s not necessarily that women are not interested in these fields, but the culture has made it in such a way that women won’t comfortably belong.

Fortunately, some changes are occurring in recent years, where women are being promoted and seen as one of the key ingredients to major tech contributions in our world. And some of them have gone as far as to support these females by providing computer science scholarships for women.

Some industries do the same to provide female scholarships to agricultural students, or even helicopter pilot scholarships for women. Our work here is to compile these scholarships, so you don’t need to search the whole internet for them.

Computer Science Scholarships for Women

The lovely thing about these scholarships is they are renewable, which means even if you meet them after their deadline, you can still apply next year.
