1.       Canada-China Scholars’ Exchange Program

The Canada-China Scholars’ Exchange Program is part of Global Affairs Canada and the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China. They offer short-term scholarships to Canadians wishing to pursue post-secondary studies, research, Chinese language training, or a combination of these activities at institutions in China. To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, applicants must be Canadian citizens, have achieved the required level of written and spoken Chinese by the host institution in China, if applicable, pursue an exchange in China, not be seeking a degree in China, be under 45 years of age if applying under the “General Scholar” category of the China Scholarship Council (CSC); and be under 50 years of age if applying under the “Senior Scholar” category of the CSC.  Call for applications for the 2024-2025 academic year is now open. Candidates must apply online by 11:59 p.m. EDT, March 11, 2024.

2.       Foreign Government Awards – Global Korea Scholarship for Graduate Degrees

Through the National Institute for International Education (NIIED), the Government of the Republic of Korea is offering four scholarships for study or research at the Master’s or PhD level in Korean studies, humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, engineering, and other fields of study. The Global Korea Scholarship is designed to provide international students with opportunities to study at higher educational institutions in Korea to pursue academic degrees, which will enhance international education exchange and deepen mutual friendship between Korea and participating countries. Some of the eligibility criteria that are considered for application are; age, nationality, level of education, grades, health, and other additional requirements. 3.       Faculty Mobility For Partnership Building Program

The Faculty Mobility for Partnership Building Program provides Canadian professors with opportunities to create or expand partnerships with Latin American and Caribbean institutions through short-term teaching and/or research activities at the college, undergraduate, and graduate levels. To be eligible for this scholarship program, candidates must be a full-time professor at a Canadian post-secondary institution, Canadian post-secondary institutions must be a Designated Learning Institution  (DLI), host institutions must be located in one of the following ELAP-eligible countries; Caribbean, Central America, North America and South America.

4.       Organization of American States (OAS) Academic Scholarships Program

The OAS offers academic scholarships for study or research at the Master’s or Ph.D. level that lead to a degree at a university or educational institution in an OAS Member State, except within Canada (the nominating country). To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, you must be a citizen or permanent resident of an OAS Member State, have obtained a university degree by the time they submit their scholarship applications to their National Liaison Offices (ONE), be in good physical and mental health to complete the program successfully, and maintain GPA above the minimum standard requirement by the university.

The Canadian Francophonie Scholarship Program (CFSP) is a scholarship program designed to build institutional capacities by training employed nationals from developing countries of La Francophonie.
